Pastor Al O’Quinn is a native of Dublin, Georgia. He and Debra, his wife of 49 years, reside in McDonough, Georgia. They have two children, Matthew Allen O’Quinn (resides in heaven) and Laura O’Quinn Bone. He is a graduate of Dublin (Georgia) High School, Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Georgia, Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Additionally, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has pastored churches in Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina.
Pastor Al retired as the Senior Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in August, 2021 after serving for 32 years and became Bethany's first Pastor Emeritus. He and Debra still remain active in the church, community and participate in mission opportunities both locally and internationally.
Pastor Al is a certified Transistional Interim Pastor by Pastor Wellness of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. He is available for supply preaching, deacon training, marriage enrichment events, and interim work.
